German Village Restoration, Dining Room

Dining room, two floors below the roof leak
An incorrectly installed roof addition funneled water in the air space
between the dining room and the living room.

Three of the four Living Room walls had water streaks all across and down them.
The sheet on the left is protecting an original mantel.

The last bit of moisture

After repairing the roof and scrubbing the walls,
we let them dry for 2 months before scrubbing them again and performing minor tuckpointing.

If you look to the top left of the second room, you can see a slight discoloration from the cleaning and tuckpointing.
Over time that should be indistinguishable from the rest.
